The apprenticeship typically lasts 3 years. However, if you have a high school diploma or a Mittlere Reife, the apprenticeship can be shortened to 2.5 or 2 years. However, the decision on whether to shorten the apprenticeship is always made by the training company. At marcapo, this decision isn’t made until after the apprenticeship has begun, so we can ensure that you’re completely comfortable with it and that no unnecessary pressure is created. If you already have a TAI certificate, the apprenticeship lasts two years.

For this apprenticeship at marcapo, you’ll need a good high school diploma. Whether you have a “Quali,” Mittlere Reife, or Abitur is secondary to us—what’s much more important is that you’re truly eager to learn and contribute to our team. If you already have a TAI degree, that’s of course a perfect foundation for this apprenticeship. You should also be able to think analytically and conceptually and enjoy software and IT topics. During the apprenticeship, hands-on training periods at our company alternate with vocational school sessions in blocks. During the hands-on training periods, we start by giving you the chance to get to know marcapo and our products. Gradually, you’ll delve deeper and deeper into day-to-day operations and take on your own small tasks, which will become increasingly challenging as your training progresses. Your training mentor will always be by your side to help you with any questions or problems. At vocational school, you can further deepen your technical knowledge with courses such as programming or networking.

The apprenticeship salary at marcapo is tiered: In your first year of training, you’ll earn €1,050. In your second year, it’s €1,150, and in your third year, €1,250. In addition, after the probationary period (4 months), we provide a monthly allowance of €35 on top of that.

Once you’ve successfully completed your apprenticeship, you’ll have many opportunities: You can, of course, work in the profession you’ve trained for, such as a systems administrator. At marcapo, your chances of being offered a permanent position after your apprenticeship are very good, so you can continue working here right away if you’d like. But even if your thirst for knowledge isn’t quite satisfied yet, we’ll work with you to find the right path, such as specialized professional development courses. If you’d like to specialize even further, pursuing a degree while working is also a great option.

During the first few months of your training, it’s important to us that you settle in well and get comfortable. That’s why the first phase takes place in person at our office in Ebern. Later on, you may also have the option to work from home or at our Bamberg office, in consultation with your team and your trainee mentor.
