The apprenticeship typically lasts 3 years. However, if you have a high school diploma or a Mittlere Reife, the apprenticeship can be shortened to 2 or 2.5 years. The decision on whether to shorten the apprenticeship is always made by the training company. At marcapo, this decision isn’t made until after the apprenticeship has begun, so that we can ensure you’re completely comfortable with it and that no unnecessary pressure is created.

For this apprenticeship at marcapo, you’ll need a good high school diploma. Whether you have a “Quali,” Mittlere Reife, or Abitur is secondary to us—what’s much more important is that you’re truly eager to learn and contribute to our team. Organizational skills and creativity are a solid foundation for this apprenticeship. Do you also enjoy project planning and can you see yourself working directly with our customers? During the apprenticeship, practical training periods at our company alternate with vocational school sessions. In the first year of the apprenticeship, you’ll attend vocational school in Würzburg twice a week (in some cases, you may also apply to attend vocational school in Bamberg as a visiting student). Starting in the second year of the apprenticeship, you’ll have block instruction at the vocational school in Nuremberg, which also has dormitories so you won’t have to commute every day.

During your practical training phases at marcapo, you’ll first get to know us, our products, and our customers. Right from the start, you’ll take on small tasks, and your trainee mentor will support you with advice and assistance. This way, you’ll continue to develop until, by the end of your apprenticeship, you’re a marketing professional. In addition to your specialized tasks, marcapo also offers apprentice projects where you’ll collaborate with other apprentices from all departments. Topics might include, for example, organizing a company party or a charitable project.

The apprenticeship salary at marcapo is tiered: In your first year of training, you’ll earn €1,050. In your second year, it’s €1,150, and in your third year, €1,250. In addition, after the probationary period (4 months), we provide a monthly allowance of €35 on top of that.

Once you’ve successfully completed your training, you’ll have many opportunities: You can continue working with your current team—for example, by starting as a project assistant in project management and advancing to become a project manager (m/f/d). At marcapo, your chances of being offered a permanent position after your apprenticeship are very good, so that—if you and your team are interested—you can continue working here right away. From there, you can keep climbing the career ladder and even advance to a specialist role or a team leadership position. A move to another department that matches your expertise—such as marketing or advertising consulting—is, of course, also a possibility. But even if your thirst for knowledge isn’t fully satisfied after your apprenticeship, we’ll work with you to find the right path forward—such as specialized professional development courses. If you’d like to specialize even further, pursuing a degree while working is a great option, and we at marcapo would be happy to support you in that endeavor.

During the first few months of your training, it’s important to us that you settle in well and get comfortable. That’s why the first phase takes place in person at our office in Ebern. Later on, you may also have the option to work from home or at our Bamberg office, in consultation with your team and your trainee mentor.
