A day full of inspiration and a touch of the future—that was the 8th Local Branding Day
From Advertising Effectiveness and Multi-Messaging
Vodafone, represented by Frank Pelzer, Cristian Mirimao, and Jandierk Kalfhues, presented an innovative approach to boosting advertising effectiveness through gamification. The goal of the sweepstakes campaigns was to drive end customers directly to the point of sale (POS) and, in addition, to promote the messaging app newly launched in 2022. The company’s proprietary Local Branding Index was also presented to the audience.
Gerald Schwaighofer from the Austrian window and door manufacturer Internorm demonstrated his solution for supporting sales partners in maximizing the impact of campaigns.
After an extended networking break, Matthias Lehner kicked off his presentation with a musical introduction. As CEO and founder of Bodystreet, he spoke in his usual authentic style about the day-to-day operations of a franchisor brand and shared with the audience how the reach of their own franchise partners can be leveraged for brand communication.
Martin Röhrs from Itzehoer introduced Itzehoer Connect—a multi-messaging app that enables customer service representatives to manage customer interactions across multiple channels in a way that complies with data protection regulations.

Google Insights, Employer Branding
and a journey into the future
Marlene Bindig traveled directly from Dublin to represent Google. Drawing on exclusive insights, her presentation focused on relevant data in Google Search, with an emphasis, of course, on local brand management. After all, brands can only be truly successful with their advertising when it works on both a national and regional level.
Marc-Stephan Vogt, Andreas Fasser of HeyJobs, and Jürgen Ruckdeschel of The Local Branding Expert Group discussed in their presentation “How to Sustainably Solve Your Sales Partners’ Staffing and Recruiting Problems While Strengthening Your Brand”—a topic that couldn’t be more timely.
As an example, they described a case study involving the company Winfried Schweihofer—a sales partner of the STIHL brand—to provide the audience with practical approaches.
After a final networking and coffee break, all participants gathered again in the large lecture hall to listen to Sven Goeth. As a futurist and CEO & founder of FUTURISER, he took the audience on a journey into the future. His presentation on artificial intelligence was both thought-provoking and impressive. These 45 minutes rounded out the eventful day and led into the grand networking dinner.
