Growing Together: Value Days at marcapo

Why It's Important to Know Your Own Values
What reads so easily here isn’t so simple in practice. Why don’t you give it a try? Could you identify five values off the top of your head—ones that form the foundation of your life? Exactly—that’s a challenge. But when you know your values, you can understand why certain situations trigger certain reactions and emotions. That’s why it’s worthwhile to take the time to explore this topic more deeply.
Promotion Days at marcapo
Marcapo gives its employees this time—and that’s not all: As part of what are known as “Values Days,” they are systematically introduced to the topic.
Over the course of one and a half days, the goal is to develop an awareness that shared values form the foundation for treating one another with respect, both in our personal and professional lives—in keeping with the motto: “When we value one another’s values, deeper relationships are formed.”
Shared values as the foundation for collaboration
These relationships are particularly important in everyday work life. Here, in the workplace, many people from a wide variety of cultural, social, and personal backgrounds and with diverse values come together. A dangerous momentum can quickly develop that hinders rather than helps the company.
A Shared Value System Within the Company
Conversely, it therefore makes sense to establish a value system within a company that not only focuses on upholding and communicating corporate values but also creates a foundation for assessing whether one’s own beliefs and values are compatible with those of the company.
All in all, this paves the way for harmonious and efficient cooperation.
Comments from the Team
“I understand why people might be skeptical about a workshop like this at first and not immediately recognize its value. After all, you can get through life without clearly defined core values. Still, it makes a big difference to be consciously aware of your own values and able to articulate them. I’m very grateful for that, and I highly recommend this experience to everyone.”
